Methodist University Hospital Emergency Department

Allen & Hoshall provided engineering services for the Emergency Department expansion at Methodist University. Services included mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineering.

Methodist University Hospital Shorb Tower

As the structural and civil engineering consultant, Allen & Hoshall provided creative design solutions for the nine-story, 450,000 square-foot facility which was constructed over Eastmoreland Avenue and on top of the existing Emergency Department. Unique considerations included the design of a Risk Category IV facility in a major seismic zone and the continued operation of the Emergency Department throughout construction.

Milan Army Ammunition Plant Water System Upgrade

In late 2011, Allen & Hoshall was awarded a design contract to replace over 24,000 linear feet of cast iron water mains using AWWA C900 PVC pipe.

Newport Utilities Board Administrative Building

The facility is designed around customer service and features the latest in building system technology featuring electric power, since Newport Utilities Board is a TVA power distributor, as well as the provider of water and wastewater services for the Newport area.

Nonconnah Sewer Repair and South Cypress Creek Stabilization

Allen & Hoshall provided a field survey of the site, concept ideas for repair of the sewer, engineering design drawings, specifications and contract documents for bidding and constructing a repair of the interceptor.

Northwest Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion

The Northwest Aerated Lagoon Wastewater Treatment Plant was placed into service in 1998 with a design capacity of 3.0 mgd to treat an influent BOD load of 5,004 lbs./day. At the commencement of this project, the treatment plant would reach its design capacity in 20 months.
