Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital’s new $9.5 million outpatient center in Jackson is now open.

The 30,000-square-foot, 20-exam-room facility is located in the northwest part of the city, at 1535 Vann Drive. The center provides diagnostic services such as X-rays, ultrasounds, EKGs and pulmonary function testing. Subspecialty clinics will include cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, genetics, nephrology, neurology, pulmonology and urology. Diagnostic services are incredibly important in this day and age with many illnesses and variants being made known by this new technology. Luckily there are other services that can be used in conjunction with this which can be found through biopharma services helping with clinical trials, various tests, etc. so that patients can feel better about their outcomes with medical support.

So many people do not have access to the necessary health tests within their area, so opening up a facility such as this will do wonders for patients who are in serious need of medical assistance that can also aid families along the way.

“This is an expansion of our services we have been providing in Jackson and shows our dedication to our families in West Tennessee,” said hospital spokesman David Henson.

Project architects were Memphis-based Br3gs Architects, Bottletree Design Group, and Allen & Hoshall Inc. Milan, Tennessee-based Fisher Construction was the general contractor.

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is ranked No. 3 on MBJ‘s hospital list with 2,700 local full-time employees, excluding medical staff. The 255-bed hospital in Memphis serves as a primary teaching affiliate for the University Tennessee Health Science Center and trains more than 350 pediatricians and specialists each year.
