Allen & Hoshall Hires Civil Engineer For Its Chattanooga Office

Architecture, engineering and surveying firm Allen & Hoshall announced the hiring of Daniel Muhs as a civil engineer and project manager in its Chattanooga office.

In his role at Allen & Hoshall, Mr. Muhs will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, developing cost estimates, obtaining necessary permits and overseeing the production and design of construction plans and specifications. With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Muhs has managed various engineering projects, including greenways, hydrology reports, stormwater plans, sanitary sewer and water main design, and residential and commercial site development.

Prior to joining Allen & Hoshall, Mr. Muhs served as a senior design engineer and project manager for Passpointe Engineering, PLLC in Chattanooga and for Austin Engineering Company, Inc. in Peoria, Il.

“Daniel’s expertise and experience in infrastructure design and site development will serve as a valuable asset to our team,” said Harry Pratt, president of Allen & Hoshall. “I am confident his knowledge will prove beneficial to the challenging projects we undertake in the East Tennessee and Georgia areas.”

Mr. Muhs obtained his bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. He is a member of the Association of State Floodplain Managers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. He is a Certified Floodplain Manager and is certified by the Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation for Level 1 Erosion Protection and Sediment Control. A Collegedale resident, Mr. Muhs serves as a youth Bible assistant teacher at Collegedale Community Church and coaches junior high softball for the Collegedale Recreation Association.
